improve GEO-TAGGING = 2 critical ideas
improve the GEO-TAGGING!! this is a critical function to our operations and at this moment there is critical deficiencies.
1) clocking out/in for lunch breaks - at these moments it should be geo-tagged. without geo-tagging it leaves the door open to abuse. we do not pay for lunch breaks. a staff member can leave the site and go to a restaurant and sit there for 30 mins before clocking out for their break - and none of these movements are tagged - so we have no way to prove otherwise.
3) database of geo-tags for each employee. you guys have…3 votesJT Abbott responded
Hey Darby, thanks for the feedback and sharing your idea here!
To your first point, they get a GPSTrak ping every 15-20 minutes, so if they left the site and sat at a restaurant for 30 minutes you should have one or two pings of them before they clock out for break.
Your second point is an interesting idea, and something we could explore in the future. In your ideal scenario, would you be able to click on this list and a map would pop up from there? Or do you just want to see all the pings for the day on one map?

Schedule on App should start with current day.
App currently starts with first work day scheduled. So if it's a Friday and you started working on Monday it will always show Monday first and you have to scroll through the week to get to where you want to be. Defaulting the current day to the top of the list would save time.

Hey There, Kevin! Thanks for the suggestion! The schedule format is based on the Company Week too, so that display will change based on the company work week settings. Let’s let folks vote with you on this idea and we’ll explore changing that display in a future app update. If you have any other suggestion, please let use know!

It would be helpfull to see all fences for all job sites
I'd like to see all fences for all job sites so if an employee leaves one job site and goes to another and doesn't switch jobs, I can see that and not assume they are trying to steal time.

Allow a forced ping to be performed for GPStrak
With GPStrak sending a gps ping on occassion is great, but if you were able to press a button or something to make an employee's ping. That way you can see where they are on request rather than waiting.

Thanks for sharing this idea. Making a GPS “Blast” feature that could conservatively refresh all the locations of employees is something that our customers have begun asking for. Keep sending in those votes so that we know when exactly to build this for you.

ask if traveling to next job after clock out
My staff do multiple jobs in a day so after clocking out of the current job a prompt asking if they are travelling to the next job that would accumulate towards their total time for the day to make it easier for payroll to see total hours worked.

Signature on Clockout by Client / Staff
Allow for client and staff to sign time at clockout, with prompt to have each sign, and push email/text notifications that this was completed.

expand geofence capabilities
I have a property mgmt business for properties located across a 1.5-2 mile radius, run by both office and a maintenance team. As a result, the current smaller radius of geofencing requires employees to clock in/clock out even if they are on duty...just because they travel across zones. If you can't expand the geofence radius, which is ideal, can you allow geogence zones to be contiguous, like a cloverleaf or polygon, so that employees only get prompted to clock-in or -out when they really leave the "shaded area" or zone overlap that comprises the entire portfolio? Thanks.

Add a time stamp when an employee enters and leaves the GPSFence™ Geofence Area.
A time stamp would show when they arrived and when they left the jobsite in case they forgot to sign in or out from a job site. This would stop alot of guess work for employee and employer.

Work alone monitoring
Can we send an auto notice to ee's working alone every 2 hours that they respond to by a simple click to let us know they are ok. We require this for Occ. Health & Safety regs - able to access a ee report showing that this process has been followed.

Limit employee ability to make changes.
Since I am not out on the jobsite, I don't know what task they are actually doing. Currently, I have given our employees the ability to change their own timecard. However, I would like to limit their ability to make changes to the job specific information (job name, task, description) and not the clock-in and clock-out times. Leaving them the ability to change their hours can create additional problems.
7 votesHey guys, thank you so much for the idea! I definitely see the value of a feature such as this. While we don’t have this exact feature at the moment, there is something that might be useful to you guys. One of our more recent features was the ability for the users to be able to edit their notes without actually editing the time. So in a similar sense the employee could leave you a note that they need the job/task updated for them and still not be able to change the time. That may help for the time being, but we keep this request under review!

Add a way for each employee to sign off on their daily time sheet saying its correct
Only the employee know what they have done that day. I believe that if they had to sign off on their time sheet saying it was correct, alot of things would be corrected by them not office staff.

We have since added a new feature called Clock Out Questions which allows you to create and ask a set of questions based on a set of employees, or if a certain job is worked. A lot of companies are using this as a way to have employees approve their time.
You can ask them at the end of each day “Do you approve your time?”, if they had a mistake they can select no and you can even get notified so you can fix their timesheet. Or you can have a questionnaire fire depending on a certain job you create.
Other than that, we do really want to add an approval option that is able to be done from the mobile app itself. Please keep voting and commenting!

Simplified manual time entering
We would like to split our day spent at multiple job sites easier to enter. Once we enter a time in for that day, it should default to the last time entered rather than going back to 8:00am again.

Hey, Jessica.
Thanks for sharing this idea on our voting page. When it comes to manual time entry, we do want that to be as swift as possible, so having the app intuitively remember when the last time entry ended would be extremely helpful.
Let’s allow other users to vote on this idea, and we will consider adding this in a future update. If you have any other suggestions or ideas, feel free to share those here, or with me at hello@clockshark.com. Thanks, Jessica.

Deny clock in access when outside the geofence
Do not allow an employee to clock in until they are in the GPS fencing area. This way there is no mistakingly clocking in on the way to work .
65 votesCliff Mitchell responded
Thanks for the idea, Bruno. We’ll definitely consider this. Up until now, preventing an employee from clocking in because of their location is a little squirrelly for both parties. So we have a created a conservative in-between.
Currently, you can set up Out of Bounds alerts in ClockShark that will alert you if an employee is clocking in/out from outside the GPS Fence. Let me share an article on how to set that up: http://help.clockshark.com/knowledgebase/articles/1135408-using-gps-fence-geofencing
Out of Bounds alerts will make you aware anytime an employee clocks time when they’re not on the jobsite. We’ll keep our eyes on this idea’s feedback to see if that setting needs to be more restrictive. Keep on voting, folks.

Location not updating alert for admin
Send the admin an alert when an employee's location data hasn't been recorded at the expected 15 min interval.
This way if the employee closes the app, or for another reason it isn't being recorded, action can be taken to correct it while minimizing lost location data.

Hi, Jesse! Thanks for sharing your suggestion on ClockShark’s Voting Forum: we love to get your feedback! This is an excellent suggestion, and we have started to hear this more frequently. One of the major difficulties in implementing this kind of alert is that it would also fire when employees’ devices naturally cannot provide ClockShark with a location (for example, if an employee is working outside of GPS and cell signal). But it sounds like just having that notification would be helpful, so you can check in with the employee and see what’s causing it.
Let’s let folks vote with you on this idea, and our development team can look to add it to ClockShark in a future update if it gathers great support. Of course, if you have any other suggestions or ideas, please just let me know @ morgan@clockshark.com. :)

Add a way to punch in without using Jobs & Tasks.
Not everyone needs the jobs and tasks options for the bookkeeping side of things. Punching in could be quickened slightly if being forced to choose a job & task could be optionally removed per employee by administrators.
