Add a way for each employee to sign off on their daily time sheet saying its correct
Only the employee know what they have done that day. I believe that if they had to sign off on their time sheet saying it was correct, alot of things would be corrected by them not office staff.

We have since added a new feature called Clock Out Questions which allows you to create and ask a set of questions based on a set of employees, or if a certain job is worked. A lot of companies are using this as a way to have employees approve their time.
You can ask them at the end of each day “Do you approve your time?”, if they had a mistake they can select no and you can even get notified so you can fix their timesheet. Or you can have a questionnaire fire depending on a certain job you create.
Other than that, we do really want to add an approval option that is able to be done from the mobile app itself. Please keep voting and commenting!

Deny clock in access when outside the geofence
Do not allow an employee to clock in until they are in the GPS fencing area. This way there is no mistakingly clocking in on the way to work .
65 votesThanks for the idea, Bruno. We’ll definitely consider this. Up until now, preventing an employee from clocking in because of their location is a little squirrelly for both parties. So we have a created a conservative in-between.
Currently, you can set up Out of Bounds alerts in ClockShark that will alert you if an employee is clocking in/out from outside the GPS Fence. Let me share an article on how to set that up: http://help.clockshark.com/knowledgebase/articles/1135408-using-gps-fence-geofencing
Out of Bounds alerts will make you aware anytime an employee clocks time when they’re not on the jobsite. We’ll keep our eyes on this idea’s feedback to see if that setting needs to be more restrictive. Keep on voting, folks.

Be able to set clock in time at set time (ex: work start @ 6:00 am) even when employee clock in at 5:30. time tracking will start @ 06:00am

Add a way to punch in without using Jobs & Tasks.
Not everyone needs the jobs and tasks options for the bookkeeping side of things. Punching in could be quickened slightly if being forced to choose a job & task could be optionally removed per employee by administrators.

Signature on Clockout by Client / Staff
Allow for client and staff to sign time at clockout, with prompt to have each sign, and push email/text notifications that this was completed.
21 votesThanks for sharing your idea, Shelly. Making ClockShark something that clients interact with too is definitely something we will want to explore, especially as your idea garners more votes.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions: I love to hear them.

Pause Button
Add a pause button for, say, when someone has a quick personal errand to run, gets a personal phone call, or something like that. On the mobile device, there's room right below the start lunch and switch buttons. (I hate paying for employees' personal time during work hours!)
16 votesFred, that’s a great observation! Using the lunch button (or even clocking out) allows you to clearly see when the employee stopped and started work. That’s an excellent, equivalent workaround one can use while we consider adding this in a future update.

CrewClock: Allow Managers to Clock in crew with their specified time.
For example, crew starts at 6:30 am, but the manager doesn't start clocking in the group until 6:34 am. Currently, with CrewClock you clock in the crew and it registers at the current time of when you clock in the crew. It would be helpful for managers if on the mobile CrewClock the manager could select the specific time to clock the group in to eliminate the need of having to go back in at the end of day to correct each timesheet.

ask if traveling to next job after clock out
My staff do multiple jobs in a day so after clocking out of the current job a prompt asking if they are travelling to the next job that would accumulate towards their total time for the day to make it easier for payroll to see total hours worked.

Time Card Details suggested based on Schedule
Our crew unanimously prefers to clock their timesheets via the Manual Timesheets option. While this is fine with us, it has been often suggested within our company that ClockShark include a feature that suggests an editable timecard based off the employee's schedule. (i.e. It looks like you were on X Jobsite from X time to X time, doing X task. Is that correct? Did you take a break?) The employee can then adjust the timecard for accuracy.

Hey Joanna, thanks for sharing your idea with us!
I can definitely see that being really useful if you did work your scheduled shift that day and need to do either no edits or light edits.
I will bring this to our team so we can discuss it for future projects. Since we have tons of ideas, we tend to prioritize all suggestions with the most traction and support. If this becomes a popular request, we will build it!

Clock-In & Clock-Out ALERTS & NOTIFICATIONS!
When i'm at home-working remotely, i have no idea which one of my employees is clocking in. More Importantly, I want to know when and who is clocking OUT.
E.g.
Why is Dalton still logged in, but Angel is clocked out (They work together as a team). What is Dalton doing? Why is Dalton still on the clock? Did Dalton forget to clock out or is he working at the warehouse for some reason? This would give me better control over who is doing what and when they are doing it.9 votesJT Abbott responded
Hey Chad, thanks for sharing your feedback with us! This is absolutely possible with our Who’s Working Now page. Here you can see a huge map of everyone’s locations and you’ll see pop ups whenever someone clocks in, goes on lunch, add an attachment, clocks out, etc.
Then when they clock out for the day, all their time is available to be reviewed on the timesheets!
If you have any questions contact our support team via chat on the website, email (hello@clockshark.com), or phone (800-828-0689).

Add day of week indicator to IOS date/time selector
When retroactively adding time, the start and end date/time selector dial would be much easier to use if there was a day of the week indicator next to the date (e.g., Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun). Thanks

Hey there, thanks for sharing your idea and feedback with us!
Currently, we are using the default iPhone date selector which does not give the option for showing the day of the week.

Simplified manual time entering
We would like to split our day spent at multiple job sites easier to enter. Once we enter a time in for that day, it should default to the last time entered rather than going back to 8:00am again.
8 votesHey, Jessica.
Thanks for sharing this idea on our voting page. When it comes to manual time entry, we do want that to be as swift as possible, so having the app intuitively remember when the last time entry ended would be extremely helpful.
Let’s allow other users to vote on this idea, and we will consider adding this in a future update. If you have any other suggestions or ideas, feel free to share those here, or with me at hello@clockshark.com. Thanks, Jessica.

Limit employee ability to make changes.
Since I am not out on the jobsite, I don't know what task they are actually doing. Currently, I have given our employees the ability to change their own timecard. However, I would like to limit their ability to make changes to the job specific information (job name, task, description) and not the clock-in and clock-out times. Leaving them the ability to change their hours can create additional problems.
7 votesHey guys, thank you so much for the idea! I definitely see the value of a feature such as this. While we don’t have this exact feature at the moment, there is something that might be useful to you guys. One of our more recent features was the ability for the users to be able to edit their notes without actually editing the time. So in a similar sense the employee could leave you a note that they need the job/task updated for them and still not be able to change the time. That may help for the time being, but we keep this request under review!

Approval Banner on Mobile Timesheets
Add an Approval banner to mobile timesheets to show employees when their times have been approved at a glance.
Currently, the only way to know if your time has been approved on the mobile app is to try editing a past time punch. We would like employees to be able to do a quick scan over their timesheets for the pay period and make sure all of their times have been approved.

Copy/Paste notes from schedule to clocked in job on app.
The ability to copy the notes entered in the schedule section and paste them into the notes section of job when an employee has clocked in would be a great feature. It would eliminate double entry work.

Improve Clock Out Questions to include CrewClock
Allow clock out questions to be ask of the crew leader and not of the others that he is clocking in for. These questions can be used for Daily Field Reports if only the Lead can answer them. It doesn't work in crew clock.
3 votesJT Abbott responded
Hey Terri, thanks for sharing your idea, and allowing folks to have a forum to support and vote for it.
I can see how having the clock out questions on CrewClock would be great for crew leaders to still ensure that questions are getting answered.
If the lead is the only answers that matter, you could have the lead clock everyone out, and then clock out themselves from the Time Clock on the app. Then they would have the clock out questions prompted!
Let me know if that is a good solution, otherwise please keep voting and commenting everyone!

improve GEO-TAGGING = 2 critical ideas
improve the GEO-TAGGING!! this is a critical function to our operations and at this moment there is critical deficiencies.
1) clocking out/in for lunch breaks - at these moments it should be geo-tagged. without geo-tagging it leaves the door open to abuse. we do not pay for lunch breaks. a staff member can leave the site and go to a restaurant and sit there for 30 mins before clocking out for their break - and none of these movements are tagged - so we have no way to prove otherwise.
3) database of geo-tags for each employee. you guys have…3 votesJT Abbott responded
Hey Darby, thanks for the feedback and sharing your idea here!
To your first point, they get a GPSTrak ping every 15-20 minutes, so if they left the site and sat at a restaurant for 30 minutes you should have one or two pings of them before they clock out for break.
Your second point is an interesting idea, and something we could explore in the future. In your ideal scenario, would you be able to click on this list and a map would pop up from there? Or do you just want to see all the pings for the day on one map?

Work alone monitoring
Can we send an auto notice to ee's working alone every 2 hours that they respond to by a simple click to let us know they are ok. We require this for Occ. Health & Safety regs - able to access a ee report showing that this process has been followed.
