Have the Ability to Create a project where you can
1) Link the project to QuickBooks Projects
2) Assign an Employee as a Project Manager
3) Be able to Pull Purchase Orders that are linked to the Quickbooks Project
4) Create time lines
5) Build specific tasks within the project
6) The assigned Project manager and Administrator can see the Expences and Hours billed to the project in real time.6 votesJT Abbott respondedHey Jordan, thank you for sharing your idea, and allowing folks to have a forum to support and vote for it.
You can currently connect ClockShark jobs with a project in QuickBooks Online, but the rest of the functionality you are wanting takes place in QBO currently. However, you could limit which employees are able to view that job in ClockShark. We are looking for more enhancements we can add to jobs such as statuses, and more planning like this!

Be able to map more than one job to a class in QuickBooks Desktop
Add a class field to each job
13 votesCliff Mitchell respondedThanks for the suggestion, Miranda. Out of curiosity, are requesting that ClockShark’s jobs be mappable to QuickBooks classes? We do have that option, but I just want clarify, in case there is a different feature you have in mind.
Feel free to let me know your thoughts on this.

hour budget
once hourly budget depletes for a client (job) can add new or additional budget in for job without having to create a new job
3 votesMorgan Cassady respondedHi, Robin! Thanks for sharing your suggestion here on ClockShark’s voting page: we love to get your feedback. Great observation about the hours budget: if you ever need that reset for an individual job, our engineering team would be happy to do that for you, but having the ability to do that from the website directly would be helpful too.
Let’s let folks support your idea and vote, and we’ll look to add this in a future feature update. Feel free to let us know if you have any other suggestions, Robin.

Allow Expenses to be Added to Jobs
For example, if I need to purchase materials for a job site, then I'd love to be able to add that to the Job reports. Perhaps add an "Add Receipt" feature that allows you to upload a photo of the receipt and input the dollar amount so it can be added to the job report.
73 votesJT Abbott respondedI definitely think this would be a great feature and we are looking to add some more functionality in areas such as this. Would love some more specific feedback about the desired framework, so please let us know!
We prioritize all suggestions with the most traction and support. With great support, this idea will become one of our upcoming feature releases, so please keep voting!

Visual of completed jobs
Would be nice to see when the jobs are completed. Nice if the plumbers could check out of each job so we can see what has been done and what still needs to be done that day. We can see when they are on the job by going into another screen. Nice if on main calendar screen can show a green dot for on the job and red dot for done with that job...
13 votesJT Abbott respondedHey Dan, thank you for sharing your idea, and allowing folks to have a forum to support and vote for it.
We do have the ability to set a job to a certain color. I know some companies use this to color code their jobs as new, working, completed, billed, paid, etc.
Is that what you are wanting more so, job statuses?

Create Tick Box for Change Orders
We would use Tasks extensively and if we have to create a Task called "Change Order" it would prevent us from determining the actual task performed as a change order.
Having a tick box along with a field to enter a change order number or description of work performed under a change order would be very helpful. Generating reports, isolating change orders by job would be a must in this scenario.
11 votesJT Abbott respondedWith our current functionality adding an separate job would probably be the best workflow. You could have something like Job 1, and then Job 1.1 – Change Order that way you can keep track of all the tasks still being performed.
You could then run reports for both jobs and add them up which is a little bit more manual. As we continue to grow this would be a useful feature for Sage clients!

View job decription
For the admins - once a job is complete to have the ability to view job description on the dashboard as well as the reports.
7 votesJT Abbott respondedWould love to get some more feedback on this idea. Job details and the reports are able to be viewed at anytime on the ClockShark website.
Was there some additional functionality you are wanting?

Allow for Mileage to be added to a specific job.
We allow our employees to use their own vehicles and reimburse them for that mileage. I wish there was a way we could track that on this app.
194 votesJT Abbott respondedHey everyone, thanks for all your votes and comments! This is one of the more popular ideas and definitely a feature we want to build.
At the moment there are a lot of other ideas that we think are going to provide more immediate value. But this is still very much on our radar and something we will want to address. Please keep the votes and comments coming!

offer an option to automatically reset the budget job hours on the first day of each new month. We need to track our client hours monthly.
Offer an option to have budgeted job hours reset automatically on the first day of each month. This allows a company to easily track the budgeted number of monthly hours based on annual retainer contracts set up based on number of hours per month and charge a premium fee for overages.
16 votesJT Abbott respondedHey everyone, just wanted to do a quick update on this idea. It really sounds like separate functionality from what our current labor budget does. Definitely something we can build, just makes more sense to be a separate function.
Our current one is built for the life of the job, not intervals within it. And even if we did reset it you’d have to change it say from 50 hours one month, to 100 hours next, to 150 hours. On top of that it isn’t time based at all.
This might get a little easier with our new Customers feature coming out soon. With this, you can just have a different job for each recurring job you have for a customer. So one for January with budgeted hours, one for February, and so on.
Please let me know of any other ideas and keep voting!

Add option for certified payroll work
We have employees working on several different jobs. Some tasks require certified payroll (Davis-Bacon). Would like ability to include check box for certified payroll--on a task basis.
30 votesJT Abbott respondedHey everyone, just wanted to provide an update. This is always going to be an option going forward, but at the moment it is a little out of the scope of what we are trying to accomplish here at ClockShark.
We do track all the necessary time information within ClockShark and the CSV Export report includes all the details you need for certified payroll. If anyone is looking for certified payroll, we do have an affiliate relationship with Points North and you can request more information here. https://www.certifiedpayrollreporting.com/clockshark

Adding a job
Add a (+ Add Job) button on the schedule tab so we do not not need to jump between tabs.
1 voteMorgan Cassady respondedHey There, Tony! Thanks for the suggestion about adding jobs directly from the scheduler. That would certainly save time, instead of hopping between your different screens.
Let’s let folks vote w/ you on this idea, and we’ll look to add it to the product once it gathers enough support. We really appreciate your feedback, Tony!

Upcoming job alerts
i want to be able to put out a note to everyone for jobs that are coming up in the future as a group, this is just an idea, maybe clockshark can come up with something in that nature, to give us owners the ability to throw extra work to all those that want it. Like a job board with the ability to check a box saying yes or no to taking the job.
3 votesJT Abbott respondedGreat idea! It sounds like there are two ways to accomplish this feature. One would be having a group board that everyone could see, or you could have a “unassigned” section of the scheduler that people could use to pick up more work. Which do you think would be a better fit?

Have the ability to make the geo-fencing circles a smaller diameter,
In the lawn mowing business we may serve multiple customers in a small radius so our employees get numerous messages to log in. Some times they may be driving down a street past another project and they get request to log in to that job.
