Lock the Header menu so it follows you down the page
May be a trivial issue, but locking the header so I can see and select timesheet, schedule, reports, admin, etc. if I'm at the very bottom of viewing timesheets for "z" employee (on view timesheet) without scrolling AAAALLLLLL the way to the top of the page to select another task. Just like locking a row/header in excel.

Now you can create Customers, Jobs, Tasks, Employees, Quotes, and Invoices from anywhere. This button is on the top nav bar and will be visible on every page.

New Job
Before when we used to add a new shift it would pop up with the the employees name right away that we clicked on. Now when we click on one we have to add all of the information on. It is just an added step that was useful the way it was before not now.

Be able to switch schedule views without having to go to the current week.
Currently if you change views (Employee / Jobs) in the schedules page you need to be on the current week. if you change it in the past or future weeks the dates are incorrect. Please consider correcting this bug so you can easily switch views as needed without backtracking.

Multiple Administrator roles. Allow Job and customer editing but block edits to timesheets
I would like to add one of our team members to help schedule and update jobs but I don't want them to be able to edit or adjust their own or others time sheets.Is there a multi-level administrator function in the works that allows an employee to edit jobs and customers but not times?
2 votesJust wanted to update this idea to say that we added an “Edit Customers” manager permission.
So now we should be able to accomplish everything you are looking for. When you create/edit an employee there is a section on the bottom where you can grant them manager permissions.
There you can grant them access to “Edit Jobs” which will allow them to create new Jobs and edit any Jobs that they have access to. We also just added “Edit Customers” which will give them access to create and edit all Customers. Next, we have “View Schedule” and “Edit Schedule” which will allow them to add/edit schedules for the users you select below that area.
You can set all of these without giving them access to edit their own timesheets or schedules.

I am new to Clockshark (so keep that in mind here...)
Within the Scheduling screen - it would be extremely efficient to click on a listed job to open the details of that job. Currently, you have to navigate back to the jobs screen, search for that job name, and THEN get to the details. In that the details are already in Clockshark, why not simply provide a way for the Scheduler...easy access to the job details...without leaving the Schedule screen?

Funny enough this is actually something we just added.
When you click on a shift on the schedule page, you get a little preview of that shift which now includes the notes for that shift and links to the Job and Customer.

Scheduler hover button/ txt box on calendar page to show notes
Add hover button to the shift on the weekly calendar page so you can read the notes attached to the job or add a text box that is visual on the calendar page just under the staff name so you can read the notes. We allocate cars to shifts.

The good news is we actually just added this functionality. Now when you click on a shift on the scheduler you can view both the job and customer as clickable links as well as any notes added for this shift.

Show task code numbers on website time clock
The task code numbers show up on the mobile app, but they do not show on the web browser version. We use the numbers to help sort categories of tasks. The categories all jumble together since it's alphabetical and not by our category numbers.

Be able to change the job stage directly from the schedules page
Change job status, currently to do this you have to go to the jobs tab, doesnt seem time consuming but it is when you have the same customers who have multiple service calls a month, so I would like to be able to change job status for the specific service call not as a whole for the job.

Summarize the Jobs worked on Employee Details
The Job Details report has a summary section at the end of the page for each Job that shows the employees who worked and the total hours each employee worked for that Job. I would love to see the same level of detail on the Employee Details report that would show the number of hours the employee worked for each Job for that date period. As a small company I have to manually accumulate the employee hours worked for entry in each Job's invoice and then input them into an Invoice. Having the total hours worked for each Job would…

PTO Report change
I would like to see a PTO report that looks more like the Employee Detail Report, instead of Time Sheet Report. I want to see when an Employee used his PTO for the year, and I have to have 52 pages of report per employee to sift thru to find it, since it will only put one week per page. I would just like a listing of the PTO days, leaving work days off.

Report: Employee total hours for selected dates
We're looking for a printable report that shows what's on the current "Approve Timesheets" screen: employee name and total regular/OT/DT hours worked for the selected time period.

Please bring back the option to click last two weeks when printing Employee Timesheets.
It was easier to click on last two weeks then looking at the calendar and remembering the last pay period. I never had to "think" about it before and made things go really fast. Would like to see that option brought back.

Rounding up and down for time input, if staff haven't clock in by say 8am and clock in at 8.07 then then the clock doesn't start until 8.15

6 votesTwo different ideas got merged here. One is for rounding to the nearest 15 minutes. We do have this as an option (as well as 5 minute rounding) and you can set it up under Admin > Company Settings.

You will see a warning when you try to schedule a job or task to an employee that doesn’t have access to it, or when you try to schedule a task to a job that doesn’t allow that task to be worked on it.

Add approval on employee timesheet screen.
Could you please add approval on the employee timesheet screen. That way I can approve each day worked. It doesnt help me to approve the week summary...because i cant see all of the details on that screen. Thank you!
43 votesI’m happy to say that this is complete! Now you can approve each employee’s day while you viewing their details. There is also a brand new weekly calendar summary, bulk actions, and linking to the timesheets right from the approvals!

Client Info (Phone, Email, Notes about client) should have dedicated spot under details.
There should be a way when adding a Job to add the Clients contact info (name, phone, notes such as gate access/personal note about client) and this info should show up at the top of the Details page. As of now you have to manually type in any contact info into the job notes (which should be reserved for notes about the job). This would not only look better from a UI perspective but would save the employee's time by having it under the Job name/# (above the address line).

We just recently added an unpaid PTO feature for ClockShark. Head over to Admin > Time Off > Policies > Add Policies to get started!
