Hey Phil, thanks for the feedback!
At the moment these are core pieces of information needed to identify someone around the website and when logging in.
We do have some plans around this in the future, but would appreciate more feedback from everyone and votes!

Please revert to showing each individual employee name in the add time window. It is very limiting to show one employee name + # more.
Please revert to showing each individual employee name in the add time window. It is very limiting to show one employee name + # more. It used to show all of the employees whose time would be added or changed and it was very helpful to see all of the employees at once. This is on the desktop version of clockshark.

Hey Phil thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
This was recently updated because the old version would “grow” as you selected more employees and this could break formatting for the selector itself as well as other areas around the website having issues.
I’m just curious with the new version, you can expand the selector to see exactly who you have chosen before submitting changes. I also would be interested in how you are adding time. Are you adding lots of time manually for large groups of people? Any additional information would be super helpful and I can pass it on to our design group, thanks!

Add shift duration and department label to clock out questions report
Clockout report suggestions
- Can we add department?
- Can we get a calculated number of hours worked, we are doing this manually which can be time consuming on our end. The clock in and out time is useful, In addition a total hours worked here would be very helpful.

Hey Kade, thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
Like you mention, that is actually one of the few reports that doesn’t have total time because it is more trying to list the questions themselves. However, it makes sense to get kind of all information about a shift together. That could be by adding information to the Clock Out Questions report or maybe including the clock out questions on a different report.

Admin only attachments on Jobs
It would be nice to have a separate job attachments for admin only. This way you can attach proposals/quotes and other info to the active job that you don't want the employees to see and or have access to.

Hey Michael, thanks for sharing your idea and feedback with us!
This idea is similar to another we have for “admin-only notes” and I think both could be really helpful.
I notice you mentioned that you wanted to use this for quotes and we actually do have our Quotes feature as a preview. This can be restricted to just admins and you can create quotes, link them to jobs, and add attachments to the Quote. Not quite the same method but could help, just wanted to mention it.

Ability to set New Job Default settings
Ability to set Default company tasks assigned to new jobs and/or default Enabling GPS Fencing. We have admin task codes that had to be set up because ClockShark requires us to make a dummy job in order for non-job related time to be posted, which meant we had to create admin dummy task codes as well. We have to remember to remove these task codes every time a new job is created, or the new tasks confuse our field labor.

Hey Cindi, thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
I could definitely see how this would be beneficial if the majority of your jobs have the same settings and you don’t want to reapply them every time. Since this revolves around job/task access control as well I could see job and task groupings being helpful as well.

Customize which columns you want displayed on reports
Have an option to customize summary reports. For example, quick summary of employee hours report that doesn't have to list DT, PTO or UPTO if no hours are entered

Schedule new shift from home page with the blue + New button
The blue + New button on home page is very convenient to add job, task or employee. I'd suggest adding "schedule shift" to the + New options.

My report went from 16 pages to 21!
Please remove the Job Summary from the bottom of the Employee Detail report, or at least give me the option to remove it. My report went from 14-16 pages to over 20!

Hey Christopher, thanks for sharing your feedback with us.
We just added this functionality for a couple reasons. It was the only details report that didn’t have a breakdown at the bottom, and it was requested by other users that were looking to get employee breakdown information with notes included.

clock out questions
Clock out Questions view. I would like a way to see the answers to the clockout questions the same way I see comments on jobs. I have to click farther in to see the question answers and can't see them when I am editing the job tasks and timesheets.

Ability to set "Favorite" reports or save report settings

Job access settings by department/employee
I think job settings that are found in "additional settings" for who can access a job and which tasks can be accessed should be tied to the department so that then if a person is in a certain department, only jobs and tasks for that department will show up. The way it is now I have to go into every job and update both tasks and people access job by job. This is a pain and a lot of room for error. It's typical that a department would always have the same tasks for I think it should be an…

Hey Betsy thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
This idea and method is interesting. We currently have it set by the Job because that is usually the most frequently changed item. Usually companies are adding a lot of Jobs so it make sense the add the permission while you are creating the Jobs. Otherwise, you’d have to create the Job and then also go update the departments/employees to include that Job. And you’d have to do that everytime you add a Job which could be a lot.

Ability to assign holidays to a PTO policy so that users receive them automatically
How do we enter holidays? Is it possible to set them up and then everyone automatically gets them or the admin can tell who gets paid for them?
18 votesHey Betsy, at the moment you have a couple different options for entering in holidays:
1. You can add time off manually by going to Time > Time Off > Requests > +Add Time Off. You can create a policy called “Holiday” or whatever policy you want to use.
2. You can also add a policy for each holiday to keep track of them that way.
3. Or you can have the employees request the holiday off and approve them. These are all less than ideal, but the good news is we are actually working on this feature! So soon we will do exactly what you suggested. You’ll be able to set them up in a policy and the users will just have them automatically filled.

Quick report link for each job in Jobs page
We use the Jobs page as our primary tool for tracking and billing. When we invoice a job, we need to see the technicians and dates onsite, not just the total hours. Currently: I navigate to the reports page, select job details, uncheck all jobs, locate job in dropdown, and click view pdf to get the billing details. The ability to do a Job Detail report (or Quick Summary with breakdown) as an action for each job in the Jobs page would be a great time saver. I would put the link inside the edit/delete/settings button. Thanks.

Numbers sorted as Numbers not Text
Currently if you sort by number in a list of the Jobs or Tasks, numbers are not actually sorting in numerical order, they are sorting by digit order. Example: ClockShark sorts 10, 1003, 10125, 1015, 11, 1105, 1420, 15, 15010
If it sorted numerically it would show - 10, 11, 15, 1003, 1015, 1105, 10125, 150010Companies that are number driven, not alpha driven, this is an important difference, and very frustrating that there really isn't a way to sort by NUMBER.

Hey Cindi, thanks for reaching out to us with your feedback.
Our columns for things like Job number, task code, etc. are all sorted alphabetically since a large majority of our users input both numbers and letters.
I can definitely see how this could be improved, however.
One thing I should mention as a quick workaround is to use the same number of digits for numbers. For example: 121, 13, and 145 will sort in that order. But you can correct this by using 013, 121, and 145.

Search by employee and filter by dates on the Time Off request page

The ability to change the view of the Schedule to Full Screen/Calendar only
Our company would like to have a 50" TV in our Tech Room that can display the schedule for the next week or 2.
Making the ClockShark schedule view full screen would be perfect!
I'm looking into a way to view it in calendar form via Google or Outlook Calendar but the ClockShark view is way easier to read as it shows it per employee.
Doing this would also allow our managers to have their schedule on a separate monitor for quick glance access.

Show original clock in/out time after editing time that has been auto-rounded.
If the "round to nearest ..." setting is enabled and the administrator goes into an employee's time to add/edit a note, after saving that day's time entry the original pre-rounded time is no longer visible - neither as a tooltip when hovering over the rounded time, or even in the audit log. As such, there is no way to see the original time that the employee clocked in or out if A) their time has been auto-rounded, AND B) the administrator has added a note or otherwise edited anything in their time.
This honestly seems more like a glitch or…

Track wage increases
Allow the option to track dates of pay raises for each employee. Right now, pay rate reports are only run based on the wage that is currently entered into the system for each employee. This makes any sort of long-term reporting virtually useless, as there's no way it can be accurate if even just one of the employees you're running the report for received a raise within the timeframe you're running the report.
The only way to make it accurate is to set the date ranges to match each timeframe the employee worked at a certain wage, go into their…

Hello again Angela, thanks for your detailed feedback it is super useful to hear what challenges you are facing and why.
The Pay Rate is used on the Pay Rate report which is great for simple calculations but definitely falls short for more complex ones like you mention.
Are you running this report for a job over multiple years frequently?
