Be able to map more than one job to a class in QuickBooks Desktop
Add a class field to each job
13 votesThanks for the suggestion, Miranda. Out of curiosity, are requesting that ClockShark’s jobs be mappable to QuickBooks classes? We do have that option, but I just want clarify, in case there is a different feature you have in mind.
Feel free to let me know your thoughts on this.

Add option for employee/ admin to select whether a job is commercial or residential when clocking in
This allows admin to decipher what is Commercial and Residential when running monthly reports for Workers Comp purposes. QuickBooks online gives us this option, but when exporting from ClockShark, we have to manually insert/add to timesheet description for each employee and job whether a job is commercial or residential.

overtime indicator
Put a marker on the timesheet week view that shows at which point employees reached overtime. like they do on tv during football games to show the first yard line.

Be able to click on the job on the schedule page and pull and edit job details from there
Active jobs are listed on the 'Schedule' page but its not possible to pull up the job details from there. Currently to do so I have to search through hundred of jobs on the Jobs page. It would just be nice to click on the job in the schedule and pull up the details....

Optional Auto-Clockout at 40 hours
We dont allow overtime when there's no billable work but we do allow the employees to work around the shop to get up to 40 hours. Employees have already proven to take advantage of this since they're responsible for clocking themselves out on time, they just basically hang around collecting time and a half doing nothing until I tell them to go home. It would make my life far easier if they at least just got a notification that they're at 40 so theres no excuses.
7 votesThanks for the suggestion, Aric. We are debuting “Overtime Alerts” for administrators very soon that will provide that information to the Admin and they can reach out to the employee to see why they’re still on the clock.
But we will keep our eyes on this idea and the support it gathers to see if we should build that too.

Be able to choose what days are shown on the schedule page
It would be helpful to adjust the company settings so that the work week is Monday through Friday. I don't like seeing Saturday and Sunday on the calendar, and when you're setting up a repeating schedule for 3 weeks in a row at a certain job, right now I have to check the box for "weekly", and then select M, T, W, Th, Fri individually because if I just select "daily" then it schedules the weekend as well.
11 votesThanks for the suggestion! We’ll be introducing pay periods very soon, so feel free to check back in to see if that helps. :)
You can always reach me at cliff@clockshark.com if you have any other questions or ideas.

Please add the ability to view a larger than a thumbnail photo on the "Who's working now" page.
We keep the "Who's working now" page open all day and we love how real time notifications. The one thing that is lacking right now is the ability to view (more than a thumbnail size) photos on this page. We know that we can view the photos on the time sheets. But the time sheets don't give us the instant notifications that is available on the "Who's working now" page.

forcasting
Reporting past events is essential. What future optimism do we have for forecasting? That is, a CSV say with jobs that are scheduled and to what crew.
8 votesThis is an excellent idea, Peter. We did recently add a printable version of the schedule calendar, which can provide the information you’re looking for.
We’ll monitor your idea here to see if a CSV schedule export is something we should add in a future update. Thanks again for your feedback. I love hearing it.

Custom Reports
Allow an option for setting up a custom report. I want to be able to spit out my employees time sheets in a certain order like by day with job number, task, total time that day for that task, and then a sum total of the hours worked that day as well as a week total. Right now I have to get an excel file from clock shark and then convert formats and copy and paste it into a excel template I've made. It's very time consuming.

Attachment notice (paperclip) Added to the Job Detail Report
I have attachments added by an employee I would like to have the paper clip on the job detail report so its a red flag that there are attachments . The notes show up but not the paper clip. I realize the photos will not be there but again its a red flag to the billing dept. to pull those and add them to our quickbooks invoice
10 votesThanks for this great idea, Laurie. You’re the voice of many with this idea, and we will be looking at an innovative way to provide you with the notes/attachments your employee include so that you don’t have to flit back and forth between the reports and the e-timesheets.
Thanks for posting your idea here: we’ll post an update as soon as enough votes collect and we go ahead and build that for you.

Allow minimum hours for showing up and clocking in on site.
Allow the app to automatically apply a minimum number of hours when clocking in. In many states, if not nationally, we already have to pay a minimum number of hours just for showing up. Being an inspection firm we charge a 4-hour minimum and this is passed to the employee in their pay. If clockshark could automatically apply this rule (with a minimum amount option) it would significantly decrease the time spent on payroll for us.
13 votesThis is a great suggestion, Brian. I remember being paid for a minimum of 2 hours in certain states, so your suggestion make perfect, logical sense. Let’s let other folks vote on it so we can understand if this is a widespread need and something we need to build for you.

Time Sheet Filter for Multiple Employees in Time Sheet View
Time sheet filter to view two or more employee's time sheets as opposed to just one one employee's time sheet at a time.
9 votesThanks for the suggestion, Megan. Out of curiosity, are you alluding to the mobile app, or the website? In the Web Site, you can view employees by department and location groupings. In the app, you can see just one employee’s timesheet at a time.

Hide administrator passwords from other administrators.
I was shocked to learn that when I assigned a second administrator to our company account, I was able to login with that new administrator account and reveal my password. Revealing other administrator passwords shouldn’t be an option or should be an option that can be opted out of.

Individual profiles to track employment history for each employ. Track amount of hours, good behavior, amount of edits admins have to make..
Amount of jobs they go over budget on, track bad behavior things (marks on their quality) complaints, personal notes to help evaluate performance or raise potential. Also store legal documents, like scanning their W-9 forms or business agreement forms.
Allow Admins to place an alert on discrepancies that requires them to fix it before clocking in next. (signing off on time sheets at end of week with app reminder would be cool too!)10 votesAdding more details to an employee’s profile to track their employment history, hiring documents, performance notes, etc. is a very inspired idea. Thanks so much for sharing that. We will keep this idea monitored as people begin to vote for it.

Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll consider adding this. One thing to try is creating a bookmark for the Who’s Working Now screen: then, any time you click it (even after logging in), it will redirect you there.

Break Rules or Formulas
The option to enter a formula in your preferences that calculates how much of a break is paid/unpaid.
For Instance, my Labor Laws dictate that I have to pay for a 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked, any break beyond that is unpaid.
After clocking out, ClockShark could apply the formula and then put a certain amount of hours in a task called "Unpaid Break", the rest of the hours should have the option to remain with the tasks that were selected when the break button was hit, or to be put in a task called “Paid Break”.

Add a way for employees to text or call in their clock in/out.
This would allow employees without smartphones to clock in via text or call. There is the CrewClock feature but sometimes employees are by themselves.
