The ability to show number of and type of employee needed on a job for scheduling purposes.
When creating a job, have the ability to specify how many employees are needed for that job, and their skill sets. This would show up on the scheduling page to where when you are scheduling employees, you know the number of employees still needed for a job a people are scheduled. The function could also show the type of employee needed for a job. For instance, if I need two Flaggers, a TMA driver and a Supervisor on a job, when creating the schedule, I would see the needed positions on the job, and as a schedule the first flagger,…

Schedule Searchable
Not sure if this is redundant but there are times when I'd like to know if a customer/job has an upcoming or past scheduled date. That, or just a "history" feature attached to each customer/job to be able to see what has happened or is coming up. This could also be used to remind of services that are upcoming. IE: customer has generator service on a certain day, Add reminder to call them to schedule their next service the following year etc. I hope that all made sense.

Repeat Weekend on Scheduler
In the scheduler, can you set a repeat function for the weekend? You can currently repeat a job M-F, I would love to be able to repeat a job Sat-Sun

Differentiation between requested and approved time off on scheduler page
On the scheduling page it would be nice if the requested and approved time off appeared different. Like requested in red and approved in blue.

Kanban Board (Card Style) Uses Job Stages for a better Visual of status of each Project
Create a Card Style Kanban board. I'm currently using other software for scheduling purposes because using a Kanban board is a very helpful visual interface to assist with getting updates on Job Stages/Status.
Each Job Stage would have it's own column with card of each project with a few important job details right at everyones fingertips.I'd pay more per month for this feature as Kanban boards are really helpful.

Option to have the schedule automatically update on an open tab.
We are new to the app and I have been trying to train all of the PMs to refresh the schedule before making a change. Basically if you leave the tab open you could be viewing an out of date version of the schedule. (we have multiple PMs who schedule their jobs from a common labor pool) This can cause incidents where a worker is unintentionally scheduled for two jobs on one day. This causes conflict, we can train past this and I have looked into extensions that auto refresh but a built in website solution would be nice for…

Be able to see all details of job and edit full job card from the schedule tab so you don't have to have separate tab open for jobs.
For those who don't have multiple monitors, we should be able to see all details of job and edit full job card from the schedule tab so you don't have to have separate tab open for jobs. Currently a smaller pop up window will show you some info of the job. Change this so it shows all and can be edited. A lot of time is wasted when you have to leave a page or have multiple tabs open to jump back and forth.
Thank you,
Dan

Google calendar and Clockshark working together
We use this feature for our vacation calendar, it would be great if the admins could share the calendar with other admins.
Also, if Clockshark could update the google calendar more often than 24 hours.2 votes -
List of jobs
Sorry if this is redundant. I'd like to look at the schedule page, have a list of entered jobs off to the side that aren't assigned. Then when I am ready to assign it, I could drag it onto either the techs schedule or just the general schedule. Basically then I could sit and enter all upcoming or tenative jobs and have them available when I need them. Hope this makes sense.

Crew Setup
Should have the ability to have crews which will allow mass edits instead of having to edit notes and other information for each employee working on the same job.

We use Google Calendar for scheduling so it would be super helpful if it could be uploaded to Clock Shark anytime changes are made.

Master Schedule Tab
Develop a master schedule tab/menu that allows the scheduler/timekeeper to build a more permanent baseline that is then transferred to the working schedule automatically showing open shifts that need to be filled for the work week without rebuilding the entire weekly or monthly schedule all over each time.
The master schedule can be updated as employees are added or terminated.2 votes -
Notification when notes change
We use the notes function a lot to get info our to our crews regarding specialty tools the may need or who they need to contact for various items. Our crews are often on jobs for long durations and as such their schedules may not change even if notes are added. The notification setting on the schedule is based of a change in actual schedule, not a addition of notes. Would there be a way to make a notification go out in the case of a schedule change or a note addition?

Only select from budgeted codes when scheduling
I'd like it so that when scheduling out the week, our superintendent can assign employees to jobs, and then only those jobs' budgeted cost codes pop up to choose from. Currently when scheduling, ALL cost codes from are available to select for each job and our superintendent has to sift through and figure out which ones were budgeted for each job.

Updateable to-do style checklists as Part of the Schedule process
Would be great if we could add an updateable checklist within or as part of an employee Schedule. In it's most basic form this list would be to show items completed in line item form. advanced versions would allow comments on particular items as well. This would simplify employee follow up with out requiring significant data entry on the part of the Employee.

Add ability to right-click on a scheduled item and simply add a star to the item.
We manage several field technicians on the schedule. We schedule in advance as much as possible. It is important for us to call the customer at the beginning of each day to CONFIRM the appointment. Many customers forget their appointments and are not there when our tech arrives. Currently we have to edit each item to note that the appointment is confirmed. Being able to just click on an scheduled item and attach a star (at the very right end) with a click would be very convenient. And save a lot of time on editing as we have many appointments…

Hey Scott, thanks for sharing your feedback and idea with us!
It sounds like you need a way to better communicate if an appointment is confirmed, whether that is through your idea or some other method.
One thing other companies may do for similar things is to use the Job Color to denote that status. Or also to use our Job Stages to quickly label and filter jobs. Both of these can be changed right from the scheduler as well.
Let me know if either of these ideas help or any questions.
Otherwise, with as many ideas as we receive, and limited work time, let’s see if this idea will pick up some traction and support. If this becomes a popular request, we will build it!

In the scheduling window add shift - where the date and start/end time are selected can you display the day of the week that is selected.
When you set a new schedule it defaults to the current date. Often we are just focused on setting the time and not noticing the date selected is not the date we want. If it showed the day of the week it would be a visual clue on date selected. We tend to work day of the week rather than date.

I have good news for you, we are currently in the process of updating the add time and add schedule controls and this is one of the improvements actually. So these will be released shortly, I will let you know when they are.

Making the Day a hyperlink to that Day's schedule
When viewing schedule as "week", "2 Weeks", or "Month" make each day a hyperlink so when we click on it we are taken to that particular days schedule. It would be helpful when fine tuning schedule, I will lay out jobs for weeks in advance and it would be nice to be able to click on a particular day to go to that day and fine tune jobs so nothing over laps or I can see where there are gaps.
