  1. Ability to adjust the schedule spread sheet windows to see the whole job name.

  2. Better Hours Budgeting

    Provide an additional level of detail application for activity or area on a Task and be able to create hours estimated budgets (and then actuals) from that

    Currently, CS only provides a total hours budget. Our jobs consist of multiple different tasks and activities that we need to track independently from one another (even if we are using the same Task for each of them). We need the capability to track and view individual segments of a Job in a more detailed and defined capacity

  3. Ability to disable comments for jobs, so there is no misunderstanding when commenting for specific shift.

  4. Creating a Job Detail Report

    You need to add a spot to filter area for a specific job, so all the jobs do not show up on the report. So, you already have filter employee, filter task, include notes. When you add filter job that will complete the report for a specific job and be better for individual job worksheets for billing. when all the jobs are on there, it's confusing when going over the sheet with a specific customer the time spent on their job.

  5. Show cost codes for tasks when selecting tasks in restrict tasks for job

    I've requested creating groups of tasks that can be selected which hasn't seemed to gain any traction, so could you at least show the task code for tasks instead of just the name when restricting tasks in the job settings. We have departments with similar task names, so seeing the code or being able to search by code would be much easier than and less error prone than wading through the names.

  6. Create Task Groupings by Department or by Job Type

    When selecting tasks for a Job, it would be insanely beneficial to be able to have set groupings of tasks to grab instead of one by one. One here or there gets missed occasionally and get the field staff frustrated that their appropriate codes aren't included. Having a set grouping for 'Roofing Project' or 'Waterproofing Project' or even a General Tasks group (be able to select multiple groupings if required too!) would be a massive benefit for us all.

  7. Allow employees to just clock "in" and "out" without selecting task and job.

    In our company, clocking in and out could be more efficient if we weren't forced to make employees select job-general and task-general. We just want them to clock in or out, period.

  8. See hours and timesheets under jobs

    When you search a job you can see the hours worked before you click into it. When you click into the job you cannot see anything about hours worked or the employees that worked on that job. Instead you have to go to reports. Make hours worked by employees visible within the job itself please.

  11. See Task Codes in Task Restrictions

    When restricting tasks in a job in the additional settings, it's only possible to see the name of the task, you cannot see the task code. Our tasks are grouped by code, not necessarily by name and some tasks have similar names, so it's a bit frustrating when trying to select all the right ones.

  13. Add a start date for tracking labor budget

    We provide services for each client ("Job"). Initially, we don't have to track hours for services as we are provided an allotted dollar amount per month, per service. Once we satisfy that allotted dollar amount, we are then provided hourly billable services.

    Billable is where tracking labor budgets would need to begin for the same client/job which is where we track billable hours.

    Is it possible to have a start date for tracking labor budgets without having to create a new client/job for the purposes of tracking only when the billable services begin? And possibly adding an end date for…

  14. Jobs Created Automatically from Client Scheduling Software

    I would like to see some sort of intergration with Verizon Reveal Connect. This is where we schedule all our clients jobs. It would be helpful if some sort of API was created so that when a job is entered on our software that it sends the job name and job number to ClockShark and creates a New Job automatically within ClockShark and then it allows our staff to select the job so they can clock in.

  15. Job access settings by department/employee

    I think job settings that are found in "additional settings" for who can access a job and which tasks can be accessed should be tied to the department so that then if a person is in a certain department, only jobs and tasks for that department will show up. The way it is now I have to go into every job and update both tasks and people access job by job. This is a pain and a lot of room for error.     This idea and method is interesting. We currently have it set by the Job because that is usually the most frequently changed item. Usually companies are adding a lot of Jobs so it make sense the add the permission while you are creating the Jobs. Otherwise, you’d have to create the Job and then also go update the departments/employees to include that Job. And you’d have to do that everytime you add a Job which could be a lot.

  16. Admin only attachments on Jobs

    It would be nice to have a separate job attachments for admin only. This way you can attach proposals/quotes and other info to the active job that you don't want the employees to see and or have access to.

    This idea is similar to another we have for “admin-only notes” and I think both could be really helpful.

    I notice you mentioned that you wanted to use this for quotes and we actually do have our Quotes feature as a preview. This can be restricted to just admins and you can create quotes, link them to jobs, and add attachments to the Quote. Not quite the same method but could help, just wanted to mention it.

  17. Ability to set New Job Default settings

    Ability to set Default company tasks assigned to new jobs and/or default Enabling GPS Fencing. We have admin task codes that had to be set up because ClockShark requires us to make a dummy job in order for non-job related time to be posted, which meant we had to create admin dummy task codes as well. We have to remember to remove these task codes every time a new job is created, or the new tasks confuse our field labor.

    I could definitely see how this would be beneficial if the majority of your jobs have the same settings and you don’t want to reapply them every time. Since this revolves around job/task access control as well I could see job and task groupings being helpful as well.

  18. Assign job access control during data import or bulk edit Job settings

    I have about 200 Jobs to import and they all will go to one department. It would be great to be able to set a department in the spreadsheet. or select settings like "only available to: Department" when you import them.

    If there is a way around this already I would love to know. It would save me a lot of time and probably make initial setup and bulk import easier for new customers.

    It sounds like you would benefit from some kind of bulk Job edit whether that occurs at the data import level or something in the app after.

    There isn’t a way to do this currently, but I could definitely see it being useful!

  19. Quick report link for each job in Jobs page

    We use the Jobs page as our primary tool for tracking and billing. When we invoice a job, we need to see the technicians and dates onsite, not just the total hours. Currently: I navigate to the reports page, select job details, uncheck all jobs, locate job in dropdown, and click view pdf to get the billing details. The ability to do a Job Detail report (or Quick Summary with breakdown) as an action for each job in the Jobs page would be a great time saver. I would put the link inside the edit/delete/settings button. Thanks.

  20. Numbers sorted as Numbers not Text

    Currently if you sort by number in a list of the Jobs or Tasks, numbers are not actually sorting in numerical order, they are sorting by digit order. Example: ClockShark sorts 10, 1003, 10125, 1015, 11, 1105, 1420, 15, 15010
    If it sorted numerically it would show - 10, 11, 15, 1003, 1015, 1105, 10125, 150010

    Companies that are number driven, not alpha driven, this is an important difference, and very frustrating that there really isn't a way to sort by NUMBER.

    Our columns for things like Job number, task code, etc. are all sorted alphabetically since a large majority of our users input both numbers and letters.

    I can definitely see how this could be improved, however.

    One thing I should mention as a quick workaround is to use the same number of digits for numbers. For example: 121, 13, and 145 will sort in that order. But you can correct this by using 013, 121, and 145.
